Travel Me : Patong beach + Novotel Phuket Resort (2)

I woke up so early that day with intention to see the sunrise at Patong beach, and then again the fact  that the smoke from Indonesia was still covered the area hits me. So I went back to sleep for another few hours then decided to take a walk along the beach. For my foreign friends, please don't be worry about the smoke, it was unusually thing to happen and it will be gone soon.

Even though,  Novotel Phuket Resort is located high up on the hill, but there is a beautiful path leads to the beach. It took you less than 5 minutes to walk out from the hotel and headed to Patong beach.

After the hotel's path ended ... if you take a left, you can walk directly to Patong beach. This beach is the most famous beach among foreigners. You might imagine to see a lots of tourists walking around the area; but you' re wrong. This side of the beach is not as crowded as you think. Especially in the morning, there are just some local people who went for morning exercise ... and that's it ... the beach is yours.

If you take the right path, that path will lead you up a bit more on the hill to the area where is not allowed people to swim because there are rocks and the waves are quit strong. Standing on that point, you would get a unique view of the ocean by looking out through these tropical trees.

Or if you want to experience some local life, you can walk straight up to the hill to the city area. Because Phuket is a tourism city, there will be a lot of foreign restaurants along the street. On the right side, it's more convenience for foreigners to find the right dish, but on the other side, foreigner would barely get to experience real Thai dish. Anyway if you take a closer look, you still can find some local Thai food restaurant to enjoy.

Beside an extraordinary ocean view, another thing that I love about this hotel is that there are free shutter buses that would take you to "Jungceylon" shopping center which located at the center of Patong. There, you can go shopping for some souvenirs or take a walk on the different side of Patong beach which also has an amazing view.

After my morning walk along the beach, me and my aunt headed to the pool area. There are 3 pools at this hotel with lots of activities to enjoy like, walking in the Ballon ball on the water and aqua exercise at the pool. Two of the pools would be opened until 9pm, so I decided to come again after the sun goes down. I just don't want to show my sexy - slim shaped body :)

We ordered some mango punch at the Le Mirage Pool bar which is next to the Jacuzzi hot tubs. This pool bar is faced to Andaman ocean, just imagine how amazing the view will be. Next to the bar, there is a counter of local coffee blending and tea. If you are a foreigner, I insisted that you have to try "Kopi" coffee. It is not just a regular coffee, but this one is blended and served in Thai style.

Kopi coffee is originated from the southern part of Thailand. You cannot get the real taste of this coffee anyway else. You need to try it!!

Moreover, Novotel Phuket Resort had held a Management Cocktail Party at the V Lounge, and as always,  this lough also faced the Andaman ocean, gives you an amazing view point. This Management Cocktail Party will be held on every Wednesday for members and long term staying guests to enjoy unique Thai cocktails. There, you get to talk with hotel managers ... where your complaints and compliments will be directly heard by the hotel manager himself.

Talking about relaxing on a holiday, most people would think of "Spa". Yesterday, me and my aunt had booked the time for our massage. Novotel Phuket Resort' spa is located next to the pool, but don't worry ... the spa area is not as crowded as you think it might be.
